Honestly Because

I understand that living with invisible illness is hard & is not something that other's who aren't experiencing it, understand. In this episode of Honestly Because, I share my experience in discovering what was wrong with my health, as well as give you encouragement to seek answers and health in your. life if you are experiencing thing's that are affecting your life. I want you to know that you are not alone & you are worth putting in the time & effort to get any answers you might need, in order to leave a healthy life. I hope by the end of this episode, you know you aren't alone, you feel a burst of hope & energy to seek healing, & know that God wants to help you in this process. Just as He has & is helping me too.

I know what it's like to feel overwhelmed and lost in the process of healing & asking yourself, "why am I self-isolating?" I know how it is to feel like you are doing all of the right things, yet somehow you still end up in the dark & hard places that you know all too well. Those are familiar places that are still so confusing that you can get lost in them despite how far you have come. In this episode of Honestly Because, I make it raw & keep it real in this conversation of my personal experiences with these feelings & questions. I share what I am learning in my personal process of healing. In sharing these things, I hope that it will speak to you right where you're at so you don't get stuck in those dark places & can continue to move forward to a better day in your personal healing process.

The Meaning Behind The Name "Honestly Because": "Honestly" starts the conversion with the premise that it will be transparent & authentic. "Because" is the willingness to have the conversation despite any difficulty. "Honestly Because" is taking a look at life experiences with the desire to improve & grow. There is always something to learn & heal from in our experiences that not only help us as individuals, but helps those around us if we are willing to be vulnerable & share our experiences with others so that they can also experience healing. The Why Behind "Honestly Because": When I felt the idea of creating a podcast come to mind, so did the understanding that it had to be kept simple, minimal, & manageable. But more than that, I knew that it had to be a place where I could share things I've experienced & things I am currently experiencing in a head on, relatable, & helpful way. I also knew I had to share it all authentically & honestly in a way that is not diluting, hiding, or minimizing the experiences of change & healing I've had with Jesus, no matter how difficult, hard, or uncomfortable those things may be. I knew I’d have to do it in hopes of helping others see that they have the same opportunity available to them to receive the same change & healing I've experienced. The hardest thing of all, is to not turn away from the storm in hopes of running away from it, but instead turning to it to face it head on with the understanding that it is the quickest & most efficient way to get through the hard things of life. In the pursuit of wholeness, I have been in a constant season of turning my head to the storm, even when I felt I couldn't take another second of pain & chaos. Knowing that one day I would end up on the other end, finally able to breathe a breath of relief because I made it through the thickest & heaviest storms of my past. I have pushed myself to face the hard things so that one day my past would no longer prevent me from being exactly who I was created to be & doing the things I was created to do. I've done this so that I could be best equipped to live a life of freedom from my past experiences & pain. The biggest thing from it all is having a stronger & more personal relationship with Jesus because I am able to see & understand His goodness in my life now more than ever before. Now I feel that I am able to help others that feel their storm has never ended, & only brewed, to also turn their heads directly into it with knowing that they too can get through it all with the healing power of Jesus.
